What is Generative Artificial Intelligence?
Generative AI is a new type of artificial intelligence that can create or "generate" its own text, audio, images, and videos! It learns based on patterns from existing data previously fed into the application. Generative AI tools can now also learn by surfing the internet and relevant databases.
Some examples of popular generative AI tools include: OpenAI ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Meta LLAMA, xAI Grok, and DeepSeek. While every generative AI tool sets out to accomplish the same thing (creating unique text, audio, image, and/or video content) - each model is slightly different and may excel at different tasks.
What is The Metaverse?
The Metaverse is a virtual space that will transform how friends, families, organizations, communities, and businesses interact and communicate. But what does the term metaverse exactly mean? The term was first introduced by American writer Neal Stephenson in his 1992 novel, “Snow Crash." The Greek term Meta meaning after or beyond is combined with the English word universe. The metaverse is a world “beyond” Web 2.0, 2D imaging, and the physical world. It’s a different meaning to reality, where you’re in a three-dimensional world and experience the metaverse from a first-person perspective.
