Meta releases LLAMA 3

Meta has just released LLAMA 3, the latest update to Meta’s generative AI model. In addition, Meta has created a front-end web application for accessing LLAMA 3’s chatbot. You can access the service at https://www.meta.ai/.

Meta has also implemented the AI feature into Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Messenger. You can access the AI directly from the search bar on Instagram.

This is Meta’s latest and greatest push in the AI boom and marks the first time Meta has created a front-end website to access LLAMA.

It is strongly believed that the Metaverse will be an extension of social media. AI Lecture at West Chester University

Ian Jung and Joshua Kim spoke at West Chester University about the impact of generative AI on the school system during a two part lecture. The first lecture was delivered in person and covered the history of generative ai, recent developments, and recent impacts on academics.

The second lecture was delivered remotely via Zoom. It covered how students can specifically use generative AI to help them complete their final projects on influencer marketing.

During the lectures, students were asked for their opinions on generative ai and how it can be used in an ethical way that does not compromise academic integrity.

Neal Stephenson – The very first author who termed “the metaverse” in his famous 1992 novel “Snow Crash.” In his book 30 years ago he explained that the metaverse is a virtual urban environment that’s accessed with VR headsets. He is now launching a metaverse-focused blockchain project called LAMINA1.

Sara Sampaio – Former Victoria’s Secret model who bought a private island in the Sandbox metaverse for 25 Ethereum (about 71K at the time).

Andrew Yang – Political candidate who campaigned for mayor of New York in the metaverse platform ZEPETO. “I’m a big fan of virtual economies… New York City should be the creative capital of the world, and it’s going to be people like Rudy and folks in the cryptocurrency community that I think are a big part of it.”
